Cookie policy
We use PostHog for product analytics, the Reddit Ads pixel to measure visits and conversions from our advertising campaigns, and Reo.dev to understand which companies visit the site. We do not sell your data. If you decline, none of these tools load — no cookies are set and no events are sent.
When you click Accept, PostHog sets a first-party
cookie and a localStorage entry on capacitor.kurrent.io. They
hold an anonymous identifier so PostHog can tell repeat page views
apart from new ones. The identifier is not linked to your email or
name unless you submit the Enterprise contact form or create a
workspace, at which point we set your email as the identifier so the
session and your submission read as one person.
The Reddit Ads pixel also loads when you click Accept. It sets Reddit advertising cookies and reports a page-visit event — plus a conversion event if you submit the access-request form — so we can measure which ads bring people to the site. Reddit may use these cookies to attribute the visit to an ad and for cross-site advertising. We do not send your email or GitHub organization to Reddit.
Reo.dev also loads when you click Accept. It is a B2B visitor-analytics tool that sets cookies and uses third-party tracking to identify the company a visit is likely coming from, so we can understand which organizations are interested in Capacitor. We do not send your email or GitHub organization to Reo.
We also store a small capacitor:cookie-consent entry in
localStorage with the value accepted or
declined so you don’t see the banner on every page.
This is set regardless of which option you choose — it is the record
of your choice.
To PostHog (product analytics):
identify call linking the session to your email,
together with your GitHub organization (Enterprise form) or your plan
tier and workspace name (workspace signup).
PostHog data is sent through phog.kurrent.io, a first-party
reverse proxy on our own domain, which forwards it to PostHog’s EU
ingest and EU-hosted storage.
To Reddit (advertising measurement):
The Reddit Ads pixel is operated by Reddit, Inc. in the United States, and the data above is processed there.
To Reo.dev (visitor analytics):
Reo is operated by Reo.Dev, Inc. in the United States, and the data above is processed there.
If you previously accepted, the button below tells PostHog to stop capturing, clears the cookies PostHog set, records your choice as declined, and reloads the page. After that, none of PostHog, the Reddit pixel, or Reo loads again. Cookies Reddit or Reo already set are not cleared by this button — remove them through your browser settings, or through your Reddit ad preferences for the Reddit cookies.
