Members & invitations

People → Members and People → Invitations are where you manage who’s on your Capacitor server. Roles come from your organization — there’s no separate Capacitor user database.

People → Members lists everyone on the server: avatar and name, email, role, and join date.

If more than one member holds the owner role, a banner appears above the table:

The ⋮ menu on a row offers actions depending on your role and the row’s role:

  • Owner can Promote to Admin (member → admin) or Demote to Member (admin → member) for any other member.

  • Owner can Transfer Ownership to any other member. The confirmation reads:

Transfer ownership to {name} ({email})? Your role will be changed to Admin.

Accepting promotes the target to owner and demotes you to admin — there’s exactly one owner before and after.

  • Owner and admin can Remove Member. The confirmation reads:

Remove {name} ({email}) from the organization and all native teams?

Removal cascades: the person is dropped from every native team before their membership is revoked.

Two removals are always blocked, regardless of who’s asking:

  • You can’t remove the last owner. If the target is the sole owner, removal is rejected.
  • You can’t remove yourself. Transfer ownership or ask another admin first.

Three roles, in ascending order: member, admin, owner. There’s no seat-level or per-team role beyond these three.

Ownership only moves by transfer — nobody is ever invited or promoted directly into the owner role. See Transfer Ownership above.

People → Invitations has two parts: the Send Invitation card and a Pending Invitations table below it.

Fill in:

  • Email address — placeholder person@example.com.
  • RoleMember is always offered. Admin only appears if you’re the owner; admins inviting can only offer member.

Click Send Invitation. Kurrent emails the person an invitation link valid for 7 days. When they open it and sign in through single sign-on, they auto-join your organization with the role you chose — there’s no approval step on your side.

The table below the form lists open invitations: Email, Status (pending, accepted, or expired), and Expires.

Pending rows have a ⋮ menu:

  • Resend — re-sends the invitation email without changing the expiry logic.
  • Revoke — cancels the invitation before it’s accepted, freeing the seat it was holding.

Seat usage is active members + pending invitations. Accepted or revoked invitations stop counting; expired ones still show in the table but no longer hold a seat once they’re marked expired.

At or over your plan’s limit, Send Invitation is disabled and shows:

Seat limit reached (X of Y). Upgrade your plan to invite more members.

To free a seat without upgrading, revoke a pending invitation or remove a member.
