Plans & seats
Every Capacitor tenant has a plan tier that sets three things: how many seats it has, whether the managed Kurrent AI judge is available, and whether a trial banner shows. The tier is configured by Kurrent when it provisions your tenant; it isn’t self-service.
Plan tiers
Section titled “Plan tiers”| Plan | Seats | Kurrent AI (managed judge & analytics) |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 3 | — (bring your own OpenAI/Anthropic key) |
| Team | 100 | ✓ |
| Enterprise | unlimited | ✓ |
Dollar figures and the full feature comparison live on the pricing page; this page covers what the tier enforces inside the product.
What Kurrent AI gates
Section titled “What Kurrent AI gates”Kurrent AI is Capacitor’s hosted judge — the zero-config option for evaluations, analytics, and session-title generation, running on Cloudflare Workers AI. It’s available on Team and Enterprise and withheld on Free.
On a Free tenant, the AI settings hide the Kurrent AI option and prompt you to bring your own key instead: configure an Anthropic, OpenAI, or Cohere key on the AI providers page, or run evals on your local daemon with your own Claude/Codex. The gate is driven by the plan alone — a key can’t unlock Kurrent AI on Free.
A seat is consumed by each active member plus each pending invitation, so an outstanding invite reserves a seat until it’s accepted or revoked. When a tenant is at its seat cap, the invite button in Members & invitations is disabled with an upgrade prompt and the server rejects new invitations.
Team trials
Section titled “Team trials”A tenant can be provisioned on a Team trial. While the trial is active, admins see a banner — “Team trial — N days left” — counting down. In the Administration console the banner is always shown; in the main dashboard it’s dismissible per user (the dismissal follows you across devices). Members who aren’t admins never see it.
The trial banner is informational. Nothing is switched off when it lapses — a lapsed trial keeps its current tier’s features until the tier itself is changed.
How your plan is set
Section titled “How your plan is set”Plan tier is a deploy-time setting (Tenant:Class) that Kurrent configures at provisioning; there’s no self-service upgrade or downgrade in the product today. To change tiers, see the pricing page.
